How ESG Works
Using the OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System by Boston Scientific, our team of MyLife surgeons insert a flexible endoscope through the mouth and into the stomach. We then place 6–8 U-shaped running sutures along the greater curvature of the stomach. When secured, these sutures reduce both the length and diameter of the stomach—forming a narrow, tube-like shape.
Importantly, this reshaped stomach slows down digestion and limits food volume, helping you feel full sooner and for longer.
