At MyLife Bariatrics, we bring the experience, judgment and skill of three bariatric surgeons to every patient. We review your case together, plan our approach together, and operate together.

Travelling for surgery should not mean accepting disconnected care. Before you leave Alberta, all three of us have already reviewed your health, discussed your treatment plan, and prepared for your operation.

Amanda is your dedicated patient liaison and coordinator. We check in daily, then weekly through the first month, and Ellie begins specialized bariatric dietitian follow-up at approximately one month.

Our Calgary patients remain connected to the same focused team before travelling, while recovering in Ontario, and after returning home. Most follow-up is completed virtually, with clear guidance about when local or in-person medical care may be needed.

Your MyLife package covers all required preoperative consultations and care, surgery and facility expenses, protein shakes delivered to your home, our surgical aftercare, bariatric dietitian care, and on-demand access to the one-year How2Heal program during the first five years.

The pathway extends well beyond your surgical visit. Nutrition care, long-term surgical follow-up, bariatric medical expertise, behavioural strategies, and weight-management medications when appropriate can all play a role in protecting your progress.

We use current-generation powered ETHICON laparoscopic stapling technology with GORE SEAMGUARD staple-line reinforcement and have carefully standardized each stage of preparation, surgery, recovery, discharge, and follow-up.

Every part of the out-of-province pathway has been designed to reduce uncertainty. You will know how to prepare, how long to remain near the surgical centre, what to expect during recovery, and how we will continue supporting you after you return to Calgary.
